Yes, there are secrets that us fat loss experts have that make us the fat loss ninjas!!

I know you want me to reveal these secrets so you can marvel in the depth and
complexity of them. Some people can handle them some can’t, this is why they are
such closely guarded secrets. We, like the magicians you see on television have
secrets that we keep closely guarded in our “brotherhood”.

Well I am about to blow the lid off of the industry and share these secrets with you!
Do not share these with just any one as they will not be able to handle what you tell
them. You may lose some friends, you may gain some enemies, but one thing you
will do if you apply them is lose fat.

That is why you came to this site right? You wanted to learn how to once and for ever
lose that fat and keep it off.

Please understand I am sharing these secrets with you at my own risk of being hunted
down by the so-called fat loss experts out there who are keeping these from you so you
keep coming back for more so they can fill their wallets while you stay in search of the
holy grail of fat loss for you. I will be terminated from the “brotherhood” and be on my
own, so if you take these fat loss secrets you must apply them or my efforts and my
bravery of sharing these will be all for nothing.

What I am about to share with you will either be a profound revelation to you or you

I am really risking a lot here. So I have to know you are serious and not just kicking

Okay, you are still here so you must be serious. There are many secrets so I will have to
break them down and give you one a day. I feel this is all I can share as I can write on
each one for pages. I will try and be to the point but these fat loss secrets I am going to
reveal if applied will set you free.

SECRET #1. You must have a vision of what you want and why. You cannot go anywhere
unless you know where you are headed and why you are going there. This is Biblical and
is very profound.
Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision the people will perish”.
This applies to you and your fat loss goals and body goals. If you have no idea of what you
want to accomplish, you cannot plot a course of getting there. And if you do not have a
strong enough “why” you will take a side road when you get distracted and get lost on your
journey.

” Yea Randy, this sucks” Right now some of you are saying that, and I will say Oh really–
go look in the mirror and tell me if you have succeeded in your past quest to achieve the
body and health you were after. If you have–why are you here at this site?

So get honest with yourself and get out a piece of paper and pen, go to a quiet room, and
pray and mediate on what you want to accomplish. Can you really see yourself in the final
stage of your vision for yourself? Do you have a concrete vision of what you want for
yourself? Why do you want that? Is it vanity? Is it pride? If so that’s not enough — you have
to have a real reason for reaching that vision.

I will share mine for you so you can get a grasp of how important this is. I was always the biggest
and strongest guy around. I mean I was 320 pounds at 5″9″, I was lifting weights that no one else
would even attempt. I also would “cut” up for contests in bodybuilding on the national level and
strut my stuff for thousands to admire. My whole being was in my flesh. I also used my strength
and size for business that was not very friendly – I collected debts for dealers, bookies, and I
worked the club circuit as an enforcer. Not very nice stuff. But then after getting saved I got
revelation that my body wasn’t mine, but was the “temple of the holy spirit” and I knew I was
doing a disservice. Before I did not have a vision of health, fitness, or representing. Now I had a
why of being healthy, being fit, being a great role model and sharing the knowledge that I had
with others. If I had not gotten this vision for myself I would probably be 330 pounds, high
blood pressure, angry, and a total mess. Instead I maintain 230-245 pounds, awesome health,
and a positive role model and coach for others.

So I am serious about secret #1, if you do not have a vision and a why don’t come back for

I APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU

Oh wow, where do I start? I have been MIA the last week or so. First off let me
apologize. No excuse to use, just super busy, super fatigued, and even a little depressed
I think. Not that I have any reason to be depressed, I am so blessed it’s crazy. But I
think the injuries on my body and the work I have been putting in has just plain wore
me down. And I can tell my body is not responding at all to the exercise and diet like it
has in the past. I need to go go some blood tests done and have my hormone levels
checked—as every person over 40 should do annually. Yes you too women!!

Any ways, like I said my body is in total rebellion with my mind. What’s up with that?
Maybe it is because I am going to be 51 next month and my body is telling me that it
is throwing a little revolt and going to show me.

Last time I talked to you all I was shooting for 247 by that Saturday morning–well I am
actually UP TO 252 this morning!!! What gives?

Well I know that my body is in a state of repair still, and my leg is actually giving me fits,
and 3 of my discs are really inflamed right now also. So I know my body is holding onto
water to cushion my joints and also preserving calories to heal my muscles. Praise God
for the awesome body we were given.

But, hey I am wanting to lose fat right now so I will have to switch it up a little. Now here
is where a lot of folks would panic or just plain throw their hands up and say what is the
use. No, no, no. I will relax, realize what is going on, and keep on track as I have a goal
and I also want to be healthier.

So, gang, I am apologizing for being absent, we have 5 boot camps going now, and my personal
training, and my book writing, and also learning the finance info I need for a project that I
was super naturally blessed with, and I still have a wife, a home, and 5 dogs. So I will get
better with time management, and take notes from my mentor Bishop Gibert, and be on
track again.

51 and FIT PROJECT – Update

Okay, my goal was 249 Saturday morning.
Drumroll…… I weighed in at 251. Aw, now I am going to quit and just say the
heck with it and have a cheese cake.

No I’m not. But that is what a lot of people do. I am still making progress, and
even if I wasn’t what is the other choice–go back to eating unhealthy and
putting more fat on and being miserable?

Not a hard decision really is it? Keep plugging along. Don’t quit on your goals,
keep moving forward.

I believe the reason I didn’t achieve my goal is I experimented with lunch meat,
yep I used deli turkey breast instead of real chicken breast and I actually gained 2
pounds of water weight (I believe) from eating it. I was seeing the effects of eating
this so I could tell my clients from my own experience why (besides cancer causing agents)
they shouldn’t eat processed meat and stick to real meat. Cancer doesn’t seem to be
real enough to some but hey not losing weight is. Go figure.

This week I will also try and work out more. Last week was physically rough for me,
no excuses but I really hurt in my knees and lower back and it really zapped me from
doing much of anything.

So without further ado I am now a week closer to November 19th and the close of
my “51 and FIT PROJECT”.

This week’s goal is to see my weight be 247 Saturday morning.

I am right now after Saturday’s cheat meal–close your eyes–260!!!

Yipes! 260 Sunday night, and I want to be 247 Saturday morning!! We will
see what happens.

5 TIPS TO NOT HAVING A FAT CHILD

Okay, I can talk about this from personal experience. I was an obese kid. Yep my
peak was 320 in the 7th grade. Now that would make me 11-12 years old. I started
school a year earlier than most.

I was miserable, had very low self esteem, didn’t participate in any activities, and mostly
just ate and kept to myself. When I did interact with people I was the funniest person
you ever met. I was the comedy for every family function and at school I was always
voted class comedian. We know that was just to cover up how sad and miserable I
really was.

Do not let this happen to your child. Do not think it is cute to have a “husky” child. Or to
have a “big” baby boy. “Yep he’s a big one, gonna play football.” No he probably is going
to sit at home and eat hot dogs and cry himself to sleep while his classmates enjoy the
football games and dances.

I remember going shopping and it was cute that I shopped in the husky department at
J.C.Penny’s. Yea right. Or the time all of us got cowboy boots except me because they
couldn’t go over my calves!

No you do not want to have a fat child. And the minute fat cells are formed they don’t
disappear, and then it is a life long struggle to be fit and healthy. Please understand that
we have an obesity epidemic in the U.S.A. and children are being hit hard. It is up to
the parents as they are the ones who supply the food. Take action and don’t have your
child become a statistic, or be one of the teens that are already diabetic!

If I am being a little harsh and you are feeling it–oh well– no apologies. I’ve been there
and I know many there now, and I feel for them deeply.

So here are 5 tips to help your child from being one of the growing number of
fat and unhealthy kids out there.

1. You eat properly. Yes mom and dad it starts with you. If you eat poorly where in the
heck is your kid going to eat-at the neighbors? It starts with you and you have to go
ahead and educate yourself on nutrition. Pop tarts are not a natural food group. Trust
me you do not want a fat child.

2. Real food does not come through your window. Fast food is not real food. Fast food
is Fat Food. Give me a break. Get off your rusty dusty and prepare real food. Hey you do
have a stove right? Start using it. “But Randy I don’t have time to cook.” Hey you are
going to have to make time to take your kid to the doctors then. And don’t use that I
don’t have time excuse. You make time for what is important to you.

3. Sugar is not a pacifier. I get a kick out of folks who to satisfy their kid from acting up
will give them a “treat.” Treat heck, more like a death sentence. I have clients who will
not eat cookies (praise God) but they will give them to their kids for treats. I asked one
mother who was going to bring home some candy her co-workers gave her. I asked her
“Are you going to eat that?” , “Absolutely not” she replied “that is poison”. I then asked
her why then did she think it was okay to poison her children. The candy ended up in
my fitness center’s garbage.

4. Children like what they are taught to like. They are not born with a liking for McDonald’s
french fries. They are not born with a craving for animal crackers. They were fed those and
developed a taste and an addiction to those. So you will have to take the blame again
parents. You put the best oil in your car, why would you do any less for your children?

5. Get yourself healthy. Period. End of story. You are the parent, you are the authority
figure, you are the role model, and most of all you are the care taker. So take care of your
child’s health by taking care of your own. PLEASE.

MY WIFE CAUGHT ME CHEATING!!!

….and she didn’t care!

It had been a long week, I was tired and wore down. I trained my last
client at 11:30 Saturday and headed home. Thoughts were racing through
my head as I had been deprived all week.

When I got home Brenda was out and I knew she wouldn’t be back for quite
awhile. So I decided I was going to take care of business and go for broke.

But then unexpectantly Brenda came home just as things were heating up!

Yep, the ground sirloin was browning in the pan, the refried beans
were heating up on the stove, and I was sweating from the
habenaro salsa! Yes, it was my cheat meal for the week.
Homemade burritos, refried beans, and chips and salsa.

You ask-”What is my health & fitness expert eating like this for?”.

You are in total shock. Well Brenda wasn’t.

You see as you go on a calorie restrictive diet to lose body fat
the body will go into a mode of self preservation if you will.
Our ancestors didn’t know when their next meal would be so
the body had a mechanism where it would slow down the metabolism,
stop producing leptin (a hormone that allows your body to use
fat for energy) all to protect you against starvation.

So as I diet 6 days a week, I will have a cheat meal on Saturday
night to stoke up my metabolism for the following week so I can
burn more fat for energy.

So put off all those psychological cravings for a week
and you can have them in a meal once a week.I said meal, not day.

Now this is not a license to over eat and binge like a truly
starving person. But do eat more than you allow yourself during
the week. Your body will respond by turning up the heat and burn
more calories for you as you get back on your diet for the
next 6 days. And doing this will help you put off eating what
you shouldn’t as you know if you just wait until your cheat meal
you can have that little extra you are craving. helps keep you
on track, both mentally and physically.

For me I am on my ketogenic diet so I eat proteins and good fats
during the week. Come Saturday I will have around 400 carbohydrates
in just that one meal. And I will tell you my body heats up and starts
burning, I will actually start sweating.

So I was down to 253 pounds from 261 in my first week on my
“51 and Fit Project”. This was Friday morning. Now hold on
as I weighed in at 262 pounds Sunday morning!

The larger you are the more water your body will hold. I had a
large amount in me Sunday. Now my body is actually burning more calories
at a higher rate and I am losing fat. But with the water retention it
can play games with your mind. I know what is going on so I
don’t let it bother me, and I know I will lose approximately 4 more
pounds this week. So my goal to weigh in this Saturday morning is
248-249 pounds.

Then we know what time it is Saturday afternoon—cheat time.

So, like I said Brenda caught me cheating, but she actually
helped prepare my meal.

MAKE ME HAPPY

I just got a response back from a former Better Life Boot Camper who I had told about
the new 9am sessions. She is busy mom and the time would be perfect for her schedule.
She told me she just had decided to join Bally’s to “work on her cardio”.

Obviously I was bummed out–but probably not for the reason you think. It had nothing to
do with me making money, I knew she wasn’t going to get the results she was after.

In all of my presentations, seminars, consultation, newsletters, blog posts and even with people
I’ve worked with, my message is loud and clear. I am adamant about the real way to get
results for fat loss and firming up.

I mean, I had just taught this very thing this evening in our fitness boot camps. Try doing a
Better Life Boot Camp and tell me it isn’t “cardio”.

And the word cardio gets thrown around a lot by people, well I am talking about doing exercise
that raises your heart rate. And I believe I have many women who will vouch that they get
cardio in our boot camps.

In fact I would say that every one of our members got in great cardio tonight as in every
session we put on. Yes they raised their heart rates.

Back to the “being bummed” part, once again it seems like my message isn’t getting across.

What’s the number #1 type of exercise you need to do to burn-fat?

Cardio? Right?

WRONG!!!

Strength/resistance training?

Give yourself a star.

Correct.

I’ve said it for 32 years and I’ll say it again: building lean muscle will increase your
metabolism, allowing your body to burn more fat all day long.

The next best thing to do?

High intensity interval training like say ummm, boot camp. Yep that’s right.

Combine the 2 together (resistance training and high intensity interval cardio) and you
have one heck of a fat-burning, time efficient workout.

This is exactly what we do in the

But realistically , I’m guessing about 90% of people who join the gym to “work on their
cardio” don’t do this.

They go there to walk or jog on the treadmill.(while watching Oprah or talking on their phone)

Or they go to ride a stationary bike.

That is why I ask you to make me happy.

Get working out for real. Combine weight training with interval training and get the life

6 DAYS AND 7 POUNDS

Well today ends day 6 of my “51 and Fit Project”. I woke up this morning at 254 pounds.
That is a loss of 7 pounds in 6 days.

First I will give a brief outline of my workout this week.
Chest: 5 sets of 10-12 reps going up to 315 lbs.
Back: 3 set pulldowns12-15 reps 180, 210, 240 lbs
Back: 1-arm rows 110lbs x 12 3 sets
Shoulders: Presses: 4 sets of 15 reps used 145 lbs.
Tricep pushdowns: 3 set of 15 reps 130 lbs.
Dumbbell curls: 40 lbs. 3 sets of 12

I did this on Monday in 1 hour. from 4pm-5pm.

That is it so far. I will do each part again Friday.
Still rehabbing my leg so no real workout on them to count.
No abs. I have a 6 pack forever-just need to get fat back off. Here’s a tip for all you out
there–endless situps do not give you a six pack. Build the muscles once and with heavy training
they will be there forever. Just get rid of the fat. I have not done any abs since 1991 and when
I get my weight around 225 I have beautiful abs.

On my diet I have dropped my carbs to 60 grams a day. By doing so I picked up my
essential fat intake. I have added natural almond butter to my diet.(thanks Val).
Breakfast 5 whole eggs (cage free)
Snack: 2 tbsp natural almond butter
Lunch: 6oz. chicken breast in whole wheat wrap with salsa
Snack: 2tbsp natural almond butter with slices of onion!!
Dinner: 4 whole eggs(cage free) in whole wheat wrap with salsa
Later: 5 oz. chicken breast, 1 tbsp natural almond butter.

I will drop the wraps this weekend and take my carbs down to trace carbs from
my food sources. I will switch out salmon for chicken one meal and add green beans
in place of the wraps.

My goal is to see 249 this weekend. This will be a 12 pound loss in 9-10 days. That will
leave me 18 pounds to lose by November 19th. My “51 and Fit Project” is rolling as expected.

I am hoping you are rolling on your goal to a better you before the New Year’s Day. Remember
if you do it now–one less resolution to keep January 1st!!

257 And Going Down

Wrapping up Sunday. Sunday’s are always an awesome day for me as I can actually awake
on my own–no alarm clock. Gather myself,get some coffee, and sit down and read my Bible
in quiet and peace.
Then I will make my breakfast–today was 3 whole eggs and 3 ounces of left over chicken
breast cut up in it. I also added some red pepper and onion. Great breakfast.
This was at 8:30 am. After church service, around 2:00 pm today I went to our “green room”
and had 4 hard boiled eggs. These were cage free also. Yes we take care of business even
in our church green room.
I stopped at the store on the way home and grabbed some whole wheat wraps and some
jalapenos. Why jalapenos you ask–hang on.
We know certain foods can kick up your body’s energy expenditure and the capsicum in the
jalapenos will do just that. Remember my goal is to drop fat so anything that will assist I
will add to my arsenal. I have declared war on my fat and I will pull out all the artillery I can
to annihilate the enemy (fat). And this is the mindset you should take.

So 4pm I proceeded to make my own salsa. Into my blender went: a whole onion diced up,
a whole red pepper diced up, a whole jar of jalapenos rinsed, a can of diced tomatoes(didn’t
want to take the time to dice up the ones I had), salt, pepper, crushed red pepper, and get
this–a drop of real rendered down capsicum –(don’t try this if you haven’t before). Pulsed my
blender and BAM- home made salsa. Total time 5 minutes. Filled 3 jars and got my high octane
little metabolism booster that tastes great.

So let me get to my daily eating:
Breakfast: 3 whole eggs and 3 ounces chicken with peppers and onions.
Lunch: 4 hard boiled eggs
Dinner: 2 chicken wraps with 3 ounces chicken each, salsa, and whole wheat wraps.
Later:(8pm) I used romaine lettuce to wrap my chicken and had 3 more using 8 ounces of chicken
and my home made salsa.

I won’t go to bed til midnight tonight so I might sneak in another lettuce wrap!!

I am down another pound this morning and have yet to exercise!! 4 pounds since
9-11-09. That starts Monday.

Let’s get this ball rolling and come along for the ride with me. The only thing you have to
lose coming with me is —FAT.

51 AND FIT NOT 50 AND FAT!

Okay, time to come clean. After my accident and then surgery in May & June
of this year I have been on the inactive list. Between recovering, rehab, and
trying to build my business I have not worked out! That’s right, at first I couldn’t
workout as I was in too much pain and it took everything to train my clients
and just get through the day. Remember I tore all four of my quadriceps off and
my patella tendon also had to be reattached, this along with a fractured knee cap.
Now I did this on a Friday night and and m.c.’d our community 3 mile run Saturday.
(By the way I fell twice Saturday as I obviously had no support in my leg.) I then went
to the hospital and they wanted to operated Monday but I put it off til the following
Friday so I could work all week. Then I was operated on Friday and gave myself the
weekend to recover enough so I could be back to work Monday. I actually missed
no work and did my full 14 hour days without missing a beat.

I told you all this to say I didn’t realize the toll it took on me. Pain sucks! It wore me
down to where I was just plain wore down and couldn’t barely drive let alone work
out.

Well it is now September, 3 months and 2 weeks after accident and I am 30 pounds
heavier and much weaker with muscle atrophy!! This for someone who has been in
the fitness field for over 32 years. And I am your fat loss expert. Ouch. I had done
the proverbial slip that many do life gets in the way.

As of this morning I am 261 pounds!! I should be maintaining 226-231 pounds. So you
can see I am in horrible condition. Not only is this hurting me physically it is hurting me
mentally and financially. I am I would say depressed and a lower self image which
effects my image I portray to my clients and prospects of future clients. So my income is
also down. (side bar, my insurance rate goes up 32% next month!!!). So for my health, my
mind, and for my finances I have to get back to what I have been doing for myself and
others for the last 32 years.

Time to get busy. I will document my diet, work outs and everything pertaining to my come
back for you. I will be 51 in November and by my birthday on the 19th I will be in better shape
than BEFORE my accident. So you get to come along for the ride.

Yes it will be work, yes it will be effort, yes I will get side tracked- but no I won’t fail.

This is what happens to most people, they didn’t realize it would be work, effort, and focus
obtain their goal. But once there it is easy to maintain. So for the next 2 months I will drop
30 pounds, actually more as I will put back on approximately 8-10 pounds of muscle, so the
actual fat loss will be closer to 40!

I am going to try and get some videos up of my progress, if not at least some pictures for
reference so you can see what YOU can also do in 2 months.

So the journey starts today September 10th and I will be fitter at 51 than the fatter at 50
that I became.

I can use encouragement just like any one else so please post some for me along the way.

9 WAYS TO ELIMINATE WHITE DEATH

If you have followed me for awhile you will know I refer to sugar as “white death”. We all need to cut
down of this horrible product that many times gets snuck in our diet without us even knowing it.
Here are some ways to eliminate white death out of your diet and get on track for a healthier,
leaner you.

1. Don’t add it to foods. Wow- rocket science huh? This is the easiest and most basic way to
immediately reduce the amount of sugar you’re eating. Don’t use it. Think cereal, coffee and tea, soda,etc.

2. There isn’t any “healthy sugar”. Brown sugar, turbinado sugar, raw sugar … all pretty much the same thing as far as your body is concerned.

3. Reduce or eliminate processed carbohydrates. Most processed carbs — breads, bagels, most pastas and snacks — are loaded with flour and other ingredients that convert to sugar in your body almost as fast as pure glucose. That sugar gets stored as triglycerides, which is a fancy way of saying fat.

4. Be free of “fat-free” snacks. One of the biggest myths is that if a food is fat-free it doesn’t make you fat. Fat-free doesn’t mean calorie-free, and most fat-free snacks are loaded with sugar. Have to make it taste good right?

5. Eat in technicolor. Get more fresh vegetables and low-glycemic fruits such as berries and cherries. You have heard it before–green, red, yellow, blue, orange. Color up your grocery shopping.

6. Start reading labels. Become informed on what you are actually eating. To get rid sugar, you have to know where it’s coming from.

7. Limit artificial sweeteners. These can increase cravings for sugar and carbohydrates.

8. Look at the label where it says “total sugars” and divide the number of grams by four. That’s the number of teaspoons of sugar you are ingesting!! Shocking isn’t it?

9. Eliminate fruit juice. It’s a pure sugar hit with none of the fiber and less of the nutrients that are found in the fruit itself.
