<p>Weight Gain season begins now and runs straight through New Year’s…and it all started with those isles Of Candy for Halloween!</p>

<p><strong>The next two months will bring ample opportunity for you to expand your waistline.</strong> Of course the choice is yours.</p>

<p>Why discuss it now and not mid way through December?<br />
Because now is your opportunity to plan for the weeks ahead. Once the craziness begins, you’ll be too busy to put a plan into action.</p>
<p>So let’s take this moment of clarity, this calm before the storm, to outline a two-part plan that will save your waist from unwanted holiday inches.</p>
<p><strong>1) Part One: Your Exercise Plan.</strong></p>
<p>Exercise is the first thing people cut when they get busy, and the holiday season is notorious for empty gyms.</p>
<p><strong>This year do something different</strong>—obligate yourself to exercise. Promising to yourself won’t do it, you need to promise to others so that you won’t drop the ball.</p>
<p><strong>Sign up to work with a fitness expert</strong> – This is the perfect solution for consistent, challenging and effective workouts.<br />
They can give you the attention and assistance that you need to power through the holidays in better shape than ever – talk about motivating!</p>
<p><strong>Join a Exercise Program</strong> – You won’t be as effective exercising on your own during the busy holiday season, so join a class for accountability.<br />
Find something challenging that gets your heart rate elevated and uses strength training.</p>
<p><strong>Get a serious exercise buddy</strong> – Some friends can be an awesome help while others end up pulling you down.</p>
<p>When looking for an exercise buddy consider the following questions:<br />
- Do they share your fitness goals?<br />
- Are they fairly encouraging?<br />
- Do they give up easily?<br />
- Are they at your fitness level?<br />

<p><strong>2) Part Two: Your Diet Plan.</strong><br />
The holidays offer ample opportunities to indulge, so you need to hammer down some guidelines before hitting that buffet line.</p>
<p>I’m not saying that you shouldn’t indulge in any seasonal treats, but use moderation.<br />
Don’t use the holidays as an excuse to eat until the point of being uncomfortable – will you really miss that bloated feeling?<img title="nolaweightgain" src="http://www.nolatrainer.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/nolaweightgain.jpg" alt="nolaweightgain HERE COMES THE FAT SEASON!!" width="292" height="292" /><br />
<strong>Decide which treats to cut out this year.</strong></p>
<p>-Don’t bring edible treats to the office or to parties. You know that the leftovers will come home and you’ll end up eating far more than your share. This year do everyone a favor by not gifting fattening treats.</p>
<p>-When faced with a buffet line, load your plate first with greens, vegetables and lean meats before breads and heavier foods. Also drink water with your meal and keep alcoholic beverages to a 2-drink maximum.</p>
<p>-Beware of holiday drinks – most are brimming with calories. Hot drinks from coffee shops, cocktails at parties and creamy eggnog are all very enjoyable and all filled with empty calories. Stick with hot tea or unsweetened coffee.</p>
<p>-Everywhere you go during the holiday season brings you face-to-face with a plate of sweets. To avoid being a bore but without adding inches to your waist, try the one treat rule. Each time you’re in a social situation that involves sweets just eat one, and enjoy your treat slowly.</p>
<p><strong>You don’t have to gain weight this holiday season. The key is your mindset.</strong></p>
<p>If you approach the holidays with the mindset of, <strong>‘I deserve to indulge and I shouldn’t have to exercise’</strong> then you’ll enter 2012 a few pounds heavier, a little less healthy, and with lower energy than ever before.</p>
<p>I believe that you deserve better. I believe that you should enter 2012 in better shape than you are today, healthier than you’ve been in a long time, and with more energy than you thought possible.</p>

<p>could see them you would know why we take our profession so serious. Man, people trust us with</p>
<p>their lives. This isn&#8217;t a game, or a part time gig. This is what we are called to do and are so honored</p>
<p>and humbled that God uses us to touch people&#8217;s lives. If you don&#8217;t get choked up reading this you</p>
<p>need to check your pulse. This is why Brenda and I sleep so well at night.</p>
<p><span id="more-637"></span></p>
<p>&#8220;I just wanted you to know how much better I feel about myself since I started coming to workout</p>
<p>in the morning with Brenda and Jennifer. She asked me the first week if I was having fun and I was</p>
<p>thinking hell no, but after I gave it some real thought, it is fun.  I leave there feeling like I did the right thing,</p>
<p>soaking wet, but I can breath more deeply than I have in a long time. Brenda is so positive and always smiling</p>
<p>and very kind and helpful and motivating and just wonderful. Jennifer is very sweet and considerate and</p>
<p>caring when I need help. I still don&#8217;t know what I&#8217;m doing yet but I want to come and I know this is where</p>
<p>I need to be.</p>
<p>My daughter and nieces were signing up and I started asking questions and because I am 62, I would say</p>
<p>&#8220;I can&#8217;t&#8221;, then the next sentence was &#8220;yes I can, then &#8220;no I can&#8217;t&#8221; and after about 1 week of praying about it,</p>
<p>and asking God to give me courage, I decided that &#8220;I can do what I can&#8221;. I was thinking that I weigh 320 lbs</p>
<p>and I was getting bigger than I have ever been.</p>
<p>I joined RFA, (Recovery from food addiction) it&#8217;s 12 step group for food addicts and I learned how to eat</p>
<p>and gave up sugar flour &amp; wheat but I would still relapse and  over eat and it&#8217;s just been a vicious cycle.</p>
<p>My daughter was talking about changing her life and asked me if I would like to go with her. I thought</p>
<p>this was perfect, I am with someone that I love and cares about me and we could do this together and</p>
<p>my nieces were encouraging me. It was just such a God thing I get goose bumps thinking about it.</p>
<p>Then I was worried about putting it on my credit card and was asking if I could pay cash and I know I</p>
<p>spend that much on junk and I was going to do it no matter what. But Monday morning I got this email</p>
<p>at work from my daughter and my children had gotten together and I have 6 of them and the each are</p>
<p>making 2 payments (one for my birthday present and one for my Christmas present), so they are paying</p>
<p>for the year worth of me coming. So I will be there if I wake up and just wanted to let you know how</p>
<p>excited I am and sore I am and I have never gone to bed this early in my life.&#8221;</p>

		<title>INDEPENDENCE DAY &#8211; FREE FROM GUILT!</title>

<p>started is the hardest, followed by that 4-6 month period when you have began to reach your goals and</p>
<p>the motivation to push even further can fade.</p>
<p><strong>These 11 Keys Will Help</strong></p>
<p><strong>1</strong>. Have an end goal in mind. What specific and measurable results do you want to achieve and in what</p>
<p>time period?</p>
<p><strong>2</strong>. Visualize everyday how you will feel in your new fit body. Also visualize how bad you would feel if you</p>
<p>don’t change.</p>
<p><strong>3</strong>. Know results aren’t going to happen overnight. You didn’t get that way overnight, so don’t expect to</p>
<p>get back into shape in one week.</p>
<p><span id="more-547"></span></p>
<p><strong>4</strong>. Realize that you will be slip up, but when you do, don’t have a pit party, get right back on the plan.</p>
<p><strong>5.</strong>Get with a group of supporters. You have to change the environment you were in. You need to get</p>
<p>around fitter and healthier people and kick to the curb the ones who won’t support your new healthy</p>
<p>behaviors.</p>
<p><strong>6</strong>. You have to have fun! Work hard and appreciate how are improving.</p>
<p><strong>7</strong>. Test yourself once a month. I like a pushups, ½ mile run, plank hold, ring pull-ups, and body part</p>
<p>measurements. All of these will be able to be checked once a month and seeing progress can give</p>
<p>you motivation.</p>
<p><strong>8</strong>. Knowledge is power,  applied knowledge that is. Study the experts and those who have been successful</p>
<p>at helping other people with what you are trying to accomplish.</p>
<p><strong>9</strong>. Hire an expert. This one is huge. They can cut the time down quite a bit and get you results faster</p>
<p>because they have had more experience than you and have helped other people just like you. Also</p>
<p>they can provide you with accountability to stick with it. When you are paying money you will also</p>
<p>be more committed!</p>
<p><strong>10</strong>. Incorporate weight training at least 3 days per week.</p>
<p><strong>11</strong>. Eating right will be 80% of your weight loss success. You can not out train a bad diet!</p>

<p>diet to lose body fat the body will go into a mode of self</p>

<p>stop producing leptin (a hormone that allows your body to use</p>
<p>fat for energy) all to protect you against starvation.</p>

<p>So I  put off all those pyschcological cravings for a week and</p>
<p>I can have them on a meal once a week.I said meal, not day.</p>
<p>Also this is not a liscense to over eat and binge like a truly</p>
<p>starving person. But do eat more than you allow yourself during</p>
<p>the week. Your body will respond by turning up the heat and burn</p>
<p>more calories for you as you get back on your dieat for the</p>
<p>next 6 days. And doing this will help you put off eating what</p>
<p>you shouldn&#8217;t as you know if you just wait until your cheat meal</p>
<p>you can have that little extra you are craving. helps keep you</p>
<p>on track, both mentally and physically.</p>
<p>So, like I said Brenda caught me cheating, but she actually</p>
<p>helped prepare my meal.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[WOW--pain is not fun. Surgery update and a note on how pain, physical or emotional can derail your health efforts.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well by the title you can guess what I&#8217;m doing today.</p>
<p>Dr. Lederman preformed the surgery and I do recommend him. He said he cleaned<br />
out a ton of debris, bone spurs, and some other stuff. Said I have space between<br />
my bones now, but severe arthritis (bummer). Well actually his words were I had<br />
the knee of an 89 year old who didn&#8217;t take care of himself. Well I said praise God<br />
for keeping me walking this long.</p>
<p>So he feels with the space in there now we can inject some fluid in there to give me<br />
a cushion in the joint. Temporary fix, but hey let&#8217;s try that and put off the total<br />
joint replacement as long as we can!!!</p>
<p>I received so many well wishes and prayers from all over that it truly was a humbling<br />
experience. Very emotional for me to have touched so many people in so many places<br />
that they would take the time to send me a message of prayer of well wishes.<br />
This made the surgery go so easy for me. I was in the pre-op room just humming and<br />
smiling and praising God. I know I am doing what I was called to do&#8211;help others get<br />
their lives and health in order.</p>
<p>A bright note, as I looked forward to the surgery I felt it was finally a step forward and<br />
I dropped 12 pounds in the 10 days after scheduling it! Yep, lifted some depression off<br />
me and got my mind focused on moving forward. The pain I was experiencing wasn&#8217;t<br />
just physical, it was emotional also. I was very limited in what I could do the last 2 years<br />
and that played on my mind as my body is my business (or so I thought). Well like I<br />
said after scheduling the surgery I felt a stress relief and knew I was taking a step<br />
forward and my mind shifted gears and I put my eating plan in order and off came the<br />
weight.</p>
<p>So like the title says PAIN- can cause problems, emotional pain and the such. So find<br />
what is paining you&#8211;dig deep&#8211;and cut that off at the root and take that step forward<br />
and I guarantee you will be able to move forward just like me.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have so much stuff sent to me from readers from all over the globe and I must say I<br />
really have to shake my head at so much bad and wacky information.</p>
<p>It seems like some of these self promoting fat loss experts think they have to come up<br />
with some new fangled mumbo jumbo fad diet with special supplements taken at<br />
specific times like low tide!</p>
<p>What a crock. People are so desperate to lose the fat that they will actually take the<br />
time to read this stuff and send it to me and ask my opinion. </p>
<p>&#8220;Randy what about this new &#8216;super food&#8217; that comes in a 5 lb. container and is supposedly<br />
going to drop my fat and give me energy like a 20 year old?&#8221;</p>
<p>Come on, yea, a new category called a super food. Ah how about your run of the mill<br />
meal replacement powder with a new marketing twist.</p>
<p>You want a meal in a blender? Put 3 ounce juice, 3 ounces water, simple whey protein,<br />
some berries, maybe a tablespoon of natural peanut butter and some crushed ice. There<br />
you go your own meal replacement drink. </p>
<p>Gang it&#8217;s not rocket science to get healthy&#8211;but it is a journey. There is so much information<br />
out there on the internet, but the internet is like a bathroom stall, any one can write on it.<br />
Know your source, check them out, and make sure they aren&#8217;t just trying to make a buck off<br />
you but actually trying to help you. There are some serious marketers out there who know<br />
the health industry in a billion dollar industry and they are marketing expert not fat loss experts.</p>
<p>In fact I follow some info marketers and they tell their clients that they are not fat loss experts<br />
they are marketers!! Oh really?</p>
<p>Well that is my rant for the day, sorry about that.</p>
<p>On a side note 2 things.</p>
<p>1) Last week I celebrated my 13th wedding anniversary and I am a blessed man to be married to<br />
my wonderful wife. I must say I am truly blessed.</p>
<p>2) Thursday the 29th I go in for surgery on my right knee. 6th one on this knee and a bigger one<br />
that just a scope to clean things up. This one is a preliminary for a total knee replacement.<br />
Appreciate any prayers for a successful operation and a super natural recovery. I will keep<br />
you posted on the results this weekend.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well it has come to that fork in the road where the decision had to be made.<br />
I have set up an appointment with a specialist to have my right knee totally<br />
replaced!</p>
<p>Yep. July 19th I have my official consultation to set up with the Dr. to have him<br />
replace my knee joint and give me back a quality of life I have been lacking for<br />
some time.</p>
<p>Now I have put this off for 1 reason&#8212;<br />
Fear. Fear of having my leg cut in half and have a fake joint put in. Every one<br />
is so happy that I am finally doing this. Easy for them, I&#8217;m the one getting the<br />
surgery. </p>
<p>Fear of actually finally getting this done, fear of being put under, fear of it<br />
not turning out right, fear of being off work too long and financially not being<br />
able to sustain paying our bills.</p>
<p>For me getting this surgery is like many people putting off what they know they<br />
need to do to get healthy. They know they need to eat healthier and also start<br />
an exercise program. And like my new knee this has to be a life long decision.</p>
<p>You see a healthy fit life isn&#8217;t a 6 week program, it isn&#8217;t trying to eat right, and<br />
it isn&#8217;t going to give it a shot. It is adapting a new life style and making adjust-<br />
ments along the way.</p>
<p>Many are afraid of change. Many are scarred of success. When they do achieve<br />
that fat loss and drop 3 sizes they are scared of people expecting to see them<br />
fail and blow back up which is the scenario for many.</p>
<p>Well just like me if you want to succeed you have to put your business out there<br />
so you know people are watching. Now here is the mindset you have to have once<br />
you take that leap and put your business out there for every one to see. You have<br />
to know there is no turning back and you will succeed-no ifs, ands, or buts-period!</p>
<p>So I challenge you to let your friends know what you are doing, you will quickly find<br />
out who your real friends are. If they encourage you great, if they ask why you know<br />
you&#8217;ll just gain the weight back or you won&#8217;t stick with the exercise-get some new<br />
friends.</p>
<p>Like me, you need support and encouragement. You need people in your corner to<br />
help you take that turn in the road where there is no tuning back. This is it, you<br />
have made the decision and it&#8217;s time to move forward.</p>
<p>So as I embark on having my knee replaced and getting my life back I encourage<br />
you to get on the road to a healthier you.</p>
<p>I am here for you and many others are also. So time to get going and to never<br />
be where you are today again.</p>
<p>I will keep you posted on my surgery and will document my recovery and progress.<br />
I will take pictures and also post those. Why? Because by doing so I am being<br />
accountable to thousands. I suggest you do the same and draw a line in the<br />
sand and find yourself some accountability partners to help you on your journey.</p>

<p>Other people tell me they desire to get the fat off they are carrying.</p>

<p>Then there are those that have a goal to get healthy and do what ever it takes to get there.</p>
<p>My job as the world&#8217;s premier fat loss expert is to take you from wanting, desiring and wishing<br />
to having a goal to accomplish what you have been wanting to do for some time.</p>
<p>It isn&#8217;t enough to just want to get healthy, heck I want to be 6 feet tall.<br />
Desire is a term for longing for something you really don&#8217;t believe you can obtain.<br />
And a wish is what you do when you blow out birthday candles.</p>
<p>Now a goal&#8212;a goal is a concrete vision of what you are going after. A goal has a plan in<br />
place to get there. A goal is an actual specific target that you will hit.</p>
<p>So how do we turn wants, desires, and wishes into goals? You have to sit down and really<br />
know what you are striving for. You have to develop a systematic plan to take you there.<br />
And you have to know that you will succeed. </p>
<p>This has been my career for the last 32 years, helping people recognize their real goal and to<br />
help them develop the plan to get there. I have helped thousands do just that. Where are you<br />
at right now? Are you wishing you could lose that 20 pounds you gained after college? Are<br />
you desiring to get back that high school figure? Do you want to get that waist down those 4 inches<br />
you picked up in the last 3 years? </p>
<p>After you read this go sit down by yourself, turn off the t.v and the phone, and really be honest<br />
with yourself and write down what it is you want to achieve with your body and health.</p>
<p>Next how are you going to get there, how long are you giving yourself, what steps are you going<br />
to take to get there? This is where most all people fail. Why? Because if they knew the answers to<br />
these questions they would have already accomplished their goal. Because they don&#8217;t know what<br />
to do they end up doing nothing. Then that piece of paper that was a goal is just a memory and now<br />
they are wishing, wanting, desiring. This is mental torture and so draining on one&#8217;s self esteem and<br />
confidence.</p>
<p>Now how can you avoid falling in this mess? Well if you could afford to and was accessible to me<br />
you could hire me. That isn&#8217;t realistic for many. So I urge you to search out a reputable professional<br />
trainer in your area who has a proven track record with helping people like you. </p>
<p>Are you tired of wishing? Are you just sick of wanting something that you can&#8217;t seem to get? Has<br />
your desire to get there diminished? If that is you please do yourself a great favor and invest in<br />
yourself and search out for that person that you can connect with that can help you. </p>
